Airport City Gdańsk
Gdańsk Airport is a link between one of the strongest metropolitan regions in Poland and Europe itself with the rest of the world. Thanks to the rich offer of the airport, enabling travel to approx. 90 different destinations, its multi-modality, as well as servicing up to 5 million passengers per year, the facility offers unparalleled communication possibilities, not only with the Tri-City, but also with the entire Pomerania. It is the main airport in northern Poland and the third largest airport in the country.
Modern office and service complex
In the immediate vicinity of the modern T-2 Passenger Terminal, a complex with office, service, catering and hotel spaces is being built. Central location in the vicinity of the airport infrastructure and a very good road and rail connection with all cities in the region will ensure an interesting and communicative work environment.
The Airport City Gdansk (ACG) project provides for the construction of office and service buildings with accompanying facilities in the area directly adjacent to the Gdańsk Airport. Lech Walesa.
The area covered by the investment will extend to the north-west - south-east, adjacent to the south to the line of the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM). This area is separated from the T-2 Passenger Terminal by the PKM viaduct and the railway embankment.
As part of the ACG project, cubature structures, external roads with the necessary engineering facilities to support the ACG area and the Gdansk Airport, a system of internal roads, squares, pavements and bicycle paths, media, water and sewage system, land, construction equipment and landscape architecture objects will be built as part of the ACG project. . Additionally, as part of the investment, projects related to urban greenery will be implemented.
New business location in an excellent location
Airport City Gdańsk is a modern complex located in the vicinity of the Gdańsk Airport. Lech Wałęsa and the Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway station. In the first stage of the investment, the six-storey office building "Alpha", offering 8,500 sq m of rentable space, was completed. In the second stage, another office building called "Bravo" will be built, this time with 16,500 sq m of rentable office space. Airport City Gdańsk will combine office, hotel and retail and service functions.
ACG will benefit from its prime location. The complex is being built at the airport, with easy access to the Tricity beltway and the nearby A1 motorway entrance. Public transport, bicycle routes and other services are also found in the vicinity of the ACG. The land development design is based on the idea of creating a unique space that would meet the needs of users during and outside working hours. The ecological aspect of the local environmental environment is a key element in the implementation of the project.
A place where business meets architecture and nature
ACG is the perfect place for international companies. The proximity to the airport will allow direct flights to other offices abroad. However, ACG is also an excellent proposition for local companies that value high-quality office space and a great location. The starting point for ACG was the idea of creating facilities with harmonious architecture. In addition, the structure of the buildings allows for flexible arrangement of space in accordance with the needs of tenants. The minimalistic and coherent design of the facilities will be based on aviation.
The ACG complex is designed to be both environmentally and user friendly. Green roofs with terraces overlooking the Airport will be designated for exclusive use of the tenants who could enjoy a unique view. The central area of the ACG will include a multifunctional square allowing anyone to spend free time in a variety of ways. What’s more, a boulevard with sports amenities will be an integral part of the complex.
LEED Certificate and Ecological solutions
The project is implemented in accordance with the requirements of LEED certification, in particular with the latest and most restrictive version of the v4 Building Design and Construction guidelines. The first Alpha office building has already received GOLD certification, which can be obtained through the use of practical design, construction and operation solutions consistent with the principles of sustainable development. The consulting company responsible for the LEED certification of the facilities is Sweco Consulting. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a multi-criteria building assessment system developed and managed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI).
A significant part of the complex will consist of a green outdoor area, which, along with elements of small architecture, will create a perfect place of relaxation for the tenants. In addition, the design of the outdoor lighting will not disturb the users utilising the plots located in the immediate vicinity of the ACG complex. Another interesting and innovative idea that will be established as a part of the project, is a garden, where both office workers and owners of the local restaurants could grow their own plants. It is worth noting that by choosing this solution, the Investor actually expands beyond the LEED standards, as currently this is an element of the pilot stage program of LEED v4 system.
