Very strong performance in traffic and financials of the company. 

In 2024, we handled 6,714,149 passengers at Gdansk Airport. This is 13.7% more than in 2023. At the same time, there were 56,839 flight operations, 14.8% more than in 2023. 

“We’ve had the best year in the history of the airport. We broke records in the number of passengers handled and operations performed, as well as generated the best ever result on sales. The trend, that has strengthened in Gdansk, is the very dynamic development of the charter flight market This was the main driver of traffic growth in 2024,” said Tomasz Kloskowski, CEO of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. 

In 2024, Gdansk Airport generated a net profit of nearly PLN 20 million. We recorded a sales profit of nearly PLN 54 million, over 9.5 million more than in 2023. 

The top destinations chosen by our passengers last year were: London (525,625 passengers), Oslo (476,880) and Copenhagen (391,607). 

Wizz Air had the largest share in regular traffic in 2024. It handled 45.2% of passengers in Gdansk, followed by Ryanair (35.2%). These were followed by LOT Polish Airlines (4.8%) and Lufthansa (4.5%). 

We had new flights to Madeira, Rome Fiumicino, Valencia, and Milan Malpensa Airport (Wizz Air), flights to Helsinki (Finnair) returned after a several-year break, and Ryanair flew to Rome Ciampino, Brindisi and Skelleftea. In December, we featured Jet2com flights from Manchester and Birmingham dedicated to tourists wishing to visit Gdansk and the Christmas market. 

Throughout 2024, there were a total of 92 scheduled traffic connections from Gdansk, to 25 countries in Europe, provided by 11 airlines. In non-scheduled traffic, mainly charter flights, the airport handled 640,480 passengers, 48.7% more than in 2023. Most tourists flew to Turkey, Egypt and Greece. 

In 2024, a total of 11,681 tonnes of cargo was handled at Gdansk Airport, which is an increase of 1.7% compared to 2023.
