Half a billion zlotys of investment in Gdansk Airport in the years 2025-2028

We will invest half a billion zlotys in our Airport over the next four years.

The most important elements of this investment program will be a new office building as part of the Airport City Gdansk project, an environmentally friendly carport, the expansion of the landing area (including aprons, taxiways and aircraft de-icing stands), and the expansion of the base for aircraft technical maintenance.

In 2025, Gdansk Airport will start designing a new airport apron. It will include 15 new aircraft stands. Ultimately, there will be 45 new stands. The investment will also include three new aircraft de-icing stands and part of the aircraft taxiway to runway threshold 11. This investment will increase the capacity and improve the operation of the Airport. It will have been completed by 2028, at a cost of 105 million zlotys. On March 20, 2025 Gdansk Airport announced a tender for “The comprehensive execution of design documentation together with obtaining a valid building permit for the construction of the PPS4/4A aircraft parking apron.”

In December 2024 Gdansk Airport signed a contract for the comprehensive execution of a carport project, i.e. a parking lot with a canopy that will have photovoltaic modules installed instead of a traditional roof. The Airport will increase the number of parking spaces by 930 (to a total of about 6,500). The project will be carried out by Polimex Budownictwo, at a net cost of 23 million zlotys, by mid-2026. The purpose of the photovoltaic project is to generate electrical energy for the Port's own needs. The planned farm is expected to generate nearly 2,700 MWh annually. This is about 12% of the power needs of the entire Gdansk Airport and will contribute to a reduction of about 13.5% of its carbon footprint (from 2023).

Gdansk Airport plans to expand its MRO (maintance, repair, operation) base for aircraft maintenance. The project is to be completed by 2028 at a cost of 80 million zlotys.

The Airport also wants to continue the construction of the Airport City Gdansk complex. Having commercialized the first office building called Alpha with 8,500 square meters of leasable space (the current commercialization level is 90%), the company will be constructing another of the planned buildings. The Bravo office building will be twice the size of the first Alpha building and will have 16,500 square meters of leasable space, to be built by 2028 at a cost of 180 million zlotys. The far-reaching plans include a total of 7 office buildings and a hotel.
